About Myron Thompson, Certified Professional Estimator, ACE Auto Body Collision Repair Experts
Myron Thompson, Certified Professional Estimator and owner of ACE Auto Body Collision Repair has been in business for over 31 years.
This is a major milestone especially in the current economy with so many businesses struggling.
Myron started his business in 1981 and attributes much of his success to hard work, determination and the fact that he and his wife, Freda, are a team player. Myron & Freda have both been very active in their community and donate countless hours to civic projects and making the Hartselle area a better place to live, work and play.
The most recent donations for ACE Auto Body include being ticket sponsors for the recent quilt sponsorship project which included a handmade quilt donated by Mary Ann Howse for The John Mark Stallings Special Needs Accessible Playground of Morgan County (SNAP) as well as being regular ticket sponsors for the Kiwanis Pancake Day which is held in November of each year.
The Thompsons have been members of Hartselle Kiwanis since 1991, Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) members since 1985, the Hartselle Beautification Association (HBA) and have been active in the Hartselle Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (HCPAAA) for over five years and donate much of their time to projects involving these three civic organizations to name a few.
Myron is the Chair Person for HCPAAA this year and the Thompsons work with Alumni on various projects and events in the community. They both have worked with Kiwanis on annual events including the Kiwanis Christmas Parade and have devoted time and money to the SNAP Project.
Freda is currently serving on the HACC Board of Directors for the second time and actively works with the Internal Affairs Committee, the Ambassador Program, supports many of the HACC special events including the annual Depot Days Festival and is a past President of HBA.
One of the recent awards presented to Myron was the E. R. Roberts Business & Civic Award in 2012, which is only presented to business professionals in the area that exhibit a reputation of honest and fair treatment to their customers and maintain a strong civic pride and support. Essential traits exhibited by this recipient include: honesty, hard work, strong civic support, fair treatment and active in the community, etc. presented by the HACC.
ACE Auto Body gives free estimates in their State of the Art facility. Myron and staff are very likeable as well as professional, qualified, trained and certified and clients enjoy doing business with them. Staff attends regular continuing education for I-Car Gold Class training achievement, Myron & Freda have served on the Board of Directors of the Automotive Management Institute, and they are a past member of Alabama Collision Repair Industry Association (ACRIA) as well as Automotive Service Association (ASA).
ACE Auto Body does a quality job – from the estimate to completion of the job, ACE is there with you every step of the way. In a business climate where many business are just “out to make a buck”, ACE truly cares about the safety of their clients. There are many factors that affect collision repair and the average consumer is not aware of the questions to ask when they are dealing with their insurance company from diminished value, first part-third party insurance contracting, non OEM parts and “gag clauses” which limits the interaction between the actual consumer and the body shop with insurance companies dictating how an automobile will be repaired rather than the collision expert. Consumers really need to be educated before they find themselves in need of collision repair.
ACE Auto Body limits their involvement in third party insurance contracting because they are looking out for the best interest of their customer – the consumer, not the profits to the insurance companies. Since ACE is not under a third party contract, they can work directly with their customer to develop the best repair plan with proper procedures so that the customer will get full value of their claim rather than short-changing a claim. Their automobile will be repaired with less diminished value and will be safer back out on the road once repair is complete.
This means that ACE Auto Body will not appear on any insurance company repair vendor list that the consumer is given when they contact their insurance company to report their accident, but every consumer has the right to choose which facility repairs their automobile and every consumer wants a repair facility that they can trust to have their best interest at heart. The next time you have the need for a collision repair expert, please remember ACE Auto Body and keep their telephone number handy.
